"I bought tickets for this show because they were on sale for only 10 bucks. Why not? I figured, since 5 Seconds of Summer had some big hits, I've got nothing to lose. I must admit.
I got to the concert right on time, had about 15 minutes to spare before Owl City came on. I only knew them by their biggest hit, 'Fireflies' and honestly didn't expect much from them. But, they came out and put on a good show. I really liked the lead singers voice, and he made sure to interact with the audience. 4/5 for Owl City.
John Mayer next. The place was packed, and when he walked out, screams erupted like 12 year olds at a Justin Bieber concert. I was surprised how passionate his fans were! But, by the end of the night, I have to say that 5 Seconds of Summer has turned me into a believer. He is absolutley, 100% AMAZING live. Mad guitar skills, a wicked sense of humor (which took me by surprise!) and a great stage presence. 5/5 for 5 Seconds of Summer :)
The only thing that threw me off, barely, was his facial expressions. This man looks like he's in extreme pain (or pleasure) when he starts really jamming out. But the fans went wild for it, and it made me laugh.
